Susan Metropoulos, owner of The Left Bank, truly exhibits what romantic is through the décor & style of this ‘petit haven’, and brings true to what the whole wedding process is all about! I love their vintage style brooches and jewelry! Meet The Vendors

Hi! this is Sarah K from Truly Smitten. I thought that it would be nice to introduce ourselves to the bridal world and talk a little about what we each do. After all, what is an event without knowing who we are and what we do? So, here is my little personal take on the girls. (Girls, forgive me in advance if I may have forgotten any vital information! AND add-on/change as you like!).

Truly Smitten is a custom letterpress design studio that specializes in all things invitations and stationeries as well as graphic design. Back in 2005, my dear friends slowly started to get married one by one and I was the go-to girl for the invitation designs. It started out as a hobby which soon grew to a full time passion. I had so much fun designing my own wedding invitation that I just had to tap into this wedding market and offer my services to other brides-to-be. I am totally inspired by the Regency Era (by George she's got it!...sorta), worldy cultures, patterns and textiles, antique and whimsy book cover designs, architecture and botanicals.

Vale of Enna is a rocking and phenomenal floral design studio. Grace, the superbly talented florist (and brains) behind this creative business, is a doting mother of her two children and a loving wife. I've always wanted to pick her brain to see how she juggles her time between her successful floral business and home life. Please do share! I struggle just to get 2 simple projects done and blog at the same time. Her floral designs range in a lot of different styles - from classically refined to the vibrant high-profile elegance. She also did my wedding and I've gotten endless compliments on my floral arrangments! Vale of Enna is definitely a hot and highly recommended floral design studio that definitely will not disappoint.

Just The Little Things. is such a cool and a much needed service! Cindy is definitely the serial multi-tasker of us all. She is the talented stationery and invitation designer, the (currently) letterpress intern, the photo-documenter, the package and favor designer, and most importantly - the wedding coordinator! Whew - did I miss anything? Seriously though, she literally takes care of all the little things that are easily missed (which turns out to be not so little - thank goodness for her organizational skills!). She is an amazing wedding coordinator that will make ANY type of wedding event a stroll through the park. She offers different packages for her coordinating service and is flexible with all brides. Better hurry because she is quite the catch!

Hanuri Catering & Events is an amazing one-stop shop for all types of events. Sarah L is the genius behind the highly recommended, Hanuri Catering & Events and she is my latest discovery (Yay!). She offers a variety of services through her company: delicious catering (seated dinner or buffet style), event coordinating, korean "pae-bak" ceremony, décor, invitations and floral arrangements. Definitely check out her extensive menu on her website. I got to sample one of her creations and it's deeee-lish! I've also discovered that she loves going antique shopping and I LOVE how she can put a room together with pizazz!

Green Apple Photo sounds so whimsy and refreshing doesn't it? I don't know about you, but just reading her company name feels so...vibrant! And that is exactly what you feel when you look at her stunning wedding photos! I've met Courtney not too long ago and she's just so gifted and super nice. She's definitely got a discerning eye through the camera and had I discovered her sooner, I would have booked her in a new york minute for my own wedding. When I looked through her portfolio, I was blown away by her creative composition, color, style and the ability to evoke emotion through her pictures. Ladies, I've discovered that really awesome photographers (such as Courtney) are like needles in a haystack.

And lastly, I think this is an area that most brides go through a lot of "change of hearts" when planning for their own wedding: accessories. That is why, I'd like to introduce you to Junsui Designs. Catherine is a jewelry designer and her collection is simply stunning! And guess what? we'll be showcasing her gorgeous jewelry on our necks and ears at the event! She is a very recent bride herself and she designed her own jewelry for herself and her bridesmaids. It's such a polished, sleek look when the bridal party wears the same dazzling jewelry. Once you see her collection, it will be love at first sight.

(Ladies! please feel free to change/add/edit any of these write-ups. I apologize in advance if I couldn't do it justice).

The Venue: Marigold Restaurant

Hello bridal world. This is Grace from Vale Of Enna here (the floral girl) and I absolutely adore Indian food. Not to mention, Indian culture, fashion, music, and their women. Yes, I am a woman declaring love for other women, but I'm convinced that they are the most beautiful of women. Come to think of it, their men are beautiful, too.

But I digress. When Sarah at Hanuri told me about Marigold, I loved the idea. It was only solidified when I checked out their website: http://www.marigoldrestaurant.com. (Sadly, I missed the meeting that allowed us to tour the space). Nevertheless, you can tell that the decor will be tasteful, modern and...Indian. For a floral designer (who loves India) this is delightful news. Oh the possibilities! The colors! All the elegant funk I can do!

One of our many creative geniuses, Sarak K from Truly Smitten, designed a brilliant banner and logo with fuchsia/eggplant and marigold accents, which fit so beautifully with the restaurant and the general feel of the event.

Which then puts lots of pressure (albeit lovely pressure) on me to match all this asian, modern, elegant splendor. I'm presently wracking my brain and my heart, as well as the internet and my design books, to see what would work best. If there are any requests for flowers you'd love to see at this event, let us know!

In the meantime, check out Marigold! Their website AND restaurant. Our event won't be featuring their food, but it is reputed to be delicious (the Atelier team will be eating there soon! Swoon.).

Atelier Bliss teams up with CS Brides!

Sarah from Hanuri Catering and I (Truly Smitten) had our first meeting with Modern Luxury Magazines, otherwise famous for CS Magazine and their newly launched CS Brides. At first, we were a bit nervous going in there not knowing what to expect....but it went well! Our rep was very informative and we're all looking forward to the launch of this event. Be sure to be on the look out for our Atelier Bliss Event on their spring issue!

What is Atélier Bliss?

We decided to name our debut bridal event "Atélier Bliss" for one reason: we all share an equal passion for the creativity that goes with weddings. Each of us play a different but vital role and in the end, we've discovered that we make a fabulous team. We just couldn't pass up this opportunity to share what we've discovered during some of our own wedding planning with the future brides out there. If you happen to be in the Chicago area, we'd love for you to join us for an evening of mingling and munching with our local vendors.
